This weekend numerous delegates from our member communities were supposed to meet in sunny Bienvenida, Spain for this year’s annual meeting. However, as it wasannounced more than two months ago, the meeting had to be postponed due to situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Europe. Today, to symbolicallymark the meeting in Spain, we bring you the message from our network’spresident,Boy Scholtze:

Last year during the closing ceremony of the annual meeting in Põlva, we wished ourfriends from Bienvenida good luck with the preparations for this year’s edition.Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 situation throughout Europe we can’t meet in Spain this weekend. No culinary evening, no mayors’ meeting, no workshops and no newunforgettable memories. Nevertheless, I would like to thank our Spanish friends for thehard work they’ve done the past year to prepare Bienvenida for being the heart of Europe. I’m grateful they are willing to host the meeting in 2021 and I am looking forward to cooperate another year with their fantastic team. I can’t wait to visitBienvenida and moreover to meet all of you again! Stay safe and I hope to see you verysoon again!
