The relationship between Charter, Municipality and "Friends of Europe" organisations

The role of "Friends of Europe" is to support the local council to fulfil the decided activities or the local council can delegate tasks concerning the Charter to the "Friends of Europe" organisations. For example the "Friends of Europe" can:

*    Play a public role so that citizens know about the Charter.

*    Communicate knowledge to citizens, sports clubs and other organisations       about activities offered by the Charter.

*    Support the local council in finding host families when that is needed for         activities.

*    Develop activities in cooperation with the local council or under the supervision of the local council.

*    Helping other Charter members to create a "Friends of Europe" organisation and make a guide for that.

(Decided at a Presidium Meeting on the 13th of November 2008)

Please find here the guideline on how to establish a Friends of Europe organisation.
