FRANCE - Cissé
Cissé, municipality of 2500 inhabitants, in the heart of a
rich agricultural plain, is located
14 kilometers west of a town of 90 000
inhabitants ; in effect, Poitiers is a regional capital with a
renowned university from 1432, Romanesque churches and many
prestigious buildings open to public view.
Cissé has looked to the future through a steady evolution,
and has conserved the quality of life of its inhabitants. Cissé is a
village open to Europe since it is behind the creation of the
Charter of European Rural Communities and follows its evolution ; of
12 municipalities in 1989, it rose to 15 in 1995 and on 25 in 2004 and soon to 27.
In Cissé, you can discover : the church of Saint-Pierre-es-Liens : rebuilt in the
18th century, however, it retains the bedside of 11 and 12th
centuries. 4 bells share the tower and a very old dating back to
1450
