„Last word“ for all Charta friends from
Zagare Town Chief Stase Eidukiene
Dear Charta friends,
Seems not so long ago we were going to our first annual Charta
meeting in 2007 to Lassee.
We were enjoying our trip, companions (Latvians, Slovaks) and
had no idea what events are waiting for us...
Over the past few years, we spend a lot of unforgettable moments
together, while living in families we gained a lot of friends,
we felt like real European citizens. However, years have changed
year, on December 2011 I retired.
I’ll continue to follow chart events, I’ll voluntary contribute
to the events that will be organized in Lithuania and will be
waiting for you in Zagare.
I’m passing my “steering wheel” to a new head of Zagare Town
Chief Alvydas Urbonas and wish him all the best in his direct
work and good emotions in Chart work.
Stase Eidukiene, Zagare, Lithuania
Cashel's Hosting of the European charter this

by Cashel Chamber of Commrece. We were finalists in the

The decorated Christmas tree was one of the
few chosen to stay in the church until after Christmas. It was
chosen not only because of the visual impact of all the
different decorations, but also because of the sense of unity
between natons expressed by it.
Check also the Desborough in Europe website (www.desboroughtown.co.uk),
it has a brief review of the past meeting in Desborough.

From Ben Murphy:
We are busy preparing for the meeting in Desborough in a few
weeks time, more details to come to the delegate shortly. In the
meantime we wanted to share some news - we have had new signs
put up welcoming people to Desborough on the main roads which
now include the fact that we are a Charter town, with the logo.
See the photo in the right column - this is thanks to
Northamptonshire County Council and the Highways Department, who
ensured these signs were up in time for the visit! We're proud
to be the UK Charter town - and everyone can see it now on our
lovely new signs!
